It's kind of funny how things turn out, isn't it?
So here's the poop. (The what???) The poop. The scoop. The 411.
I was on Craig's List a couple days ago looking for a dog because I want one so badly I could burst. A big one. One that will protect me and run with me and catch a frisbee and be cute. So I was looking through the pet ads when I sort of drifted and saw a category that was titled "artists" under the community tab. Curiousity led me to it and therein I saw an advertisment for an artist who would display some art in a new gallery this month. I promptly responded and emailed the poster, sending pictures and whatnot. Turns out she had attended LCU and knew the pictures from the art gallery I sent her over email...and had even met Michaela--my roomate and fellow artisan--once before.
Before I knew it, both Michaela and I were up in an art gallery hanging/displaying our pieces for the First Friday Art Trail!!
A tired, but super excited Michaela is setting up her lovely hats.
And here is the shelves after a little of work. I think they ended up changing a bit more as the night went on, but were neglected pictures.
And here is my wall of paintings. It was fun trying to fit as much happily on one wall as possible. There were several that had to be kicked out. :(
Over the next few days I will have more pictures and more stuff. In the meantime, make plans to visit Lubbock's First Friday Art Trail August 7th, and don't forget to stop by and see our work as well!
